Winter Rules

Please note that Winter Rules (pick and place) are now in operation, from 2 October 2024. The ball must be on the fairway, if this cannot be determined consult with your playing partners for a consensus of opinion. The ball should be marked, lifted and cleaned if required and replaced within 6 inches no nearer the hole.

Bunkers GUR - Updated 2 Feb 2025

Update Sunday 2nd Feb 2025 - After an assessment of the course today the bunkers were assessed and the majority on the Essex front 9 are now in a playable condition. Therefore, all bunkers that are not marked GUR on the Essex are now in play with immediate effect. The exceptions to this are:

The bunker at the back of the 3rd Green.
Two of the bunkers on the 5th at the dog leg corner behind the front bunker and the greenside bunker also on the 5th.
The bunkers at the top of the slope on the left on 9th.
- These bunkers are marked GUR and are to continue to be played as such until further notice

All bunkers on the Cambs remain GUR regardless of being marked or not, until they have been brought up to an acceptable standard like the Essex holes.
